Sloppy Joe’s Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

We come here every time we are in Daytona for lunch. Usually, the food is pretty well-prepared and we always enjoy the experience. But I was a little disappointed in our most recent visit, yesterday afternoon. For one thing, they took conch fritters off of their appetizer menu. I know, i know, it's a personal grievance. But of all the stuff to take off...conch fritters? We ordered the mozzarella sticks instead, which were very good and filling as well. I had a cheeseburger for lunch. It was overdone (I ordered medium and got well-done), and just okay. My boyfriend had the pulled pork sandwich, and enjoyed that. The service was not good at all. We waited quite a bit of time for our appetizer and drinks, and then again for our food. The server was barely around. I probably won't be coming back again to this location.

The first time I tried this place the place was empty at lunch time you would think the service and food would be fast ( not )... The waitress was new and very slow when we got our food. ( 45 min later ugh ) it was cold. I said I would never go back. I was talked into giving it another try and I'm glad I did as the second visit was much better very good service and great food ! Let's hope the third time is as good. !

My friend had a Very good burger...flame grilled taste. We had a super nice waitress that was knowledgeable and helpful as I was working out my yummiest low calorie options. I had grilled blackened tilapia and a side of black beans...she helped me mofify the fish taco option thus way. Both were good. View is great too! We sat outside looking over boardwalk snd beach.

Pros: Live music. The surf and turf burger was really good and was a perfect medium. Not over cooked. French fries and sweet potato tater-tots were perfect. Our server was very enthusiastic and gave good recommendations. Cons: We went on a Friday night and they were super busy. We waited 30 minutes to be seated (which is totally cool) but then once we were sat it seemed like they were very under-staffed for how busy they were. Our server was super nice but made several mistakes like forgetting about our sides, spilling water on the table, refills were few and far between, and our bill had an item on it that we didn't order. I felt bad for him and the other servers because there's only so much you can do with so many customers and so few servers. The salsa for the nachos was very watery and the cheese on the grilled cheese wasn't sharp at all, kinda bland. The lobster bits on both the grilled cheese and the surf and turf burger was ok but didn't taste fresh (a bit like ammonia), like it was slightly spoiled or canned or had been refrigerated for a while. Overall: very nice service but understaffed, and the food was hit or miss and could use some quality control. I would definitely give this place a 2nd chance if changes were made.

I liked this place a lot. The atmosphere was very nice. There was a long initial wait time but we were called in much earlier. They provided us a place to put stroller and had a proper high chair. The fish dip was great and so were the cheese sticks. I ordered the fish and chips and it tasted very fresh. The batter was nice and crunchy. I definitely would come back.

AWESOME food! Everyone loved everything they ordered. Clam chowder in a bread bowl, best Ive had. If you love bacon, you have to order the 1lb. BLT. Our waiter, Louis was terrific, what a personality. We will definitely be coming back during our week here.

Service was excellent! We had the meat loaf, mahi mahi, and the pasta with shrimp. They were also all excellent. For appetizer we had the mozzarella cheese sticks which were different than any others I've ever had and they were great. This is nothing like the one in the Keys which is mostly a bar. This is actually a great restaurant.

The location is great. Watch the ocean while eating. We have eaten at Sloppy Joes when it was at the marina but not since it moved. The clam chowder was great. My wife loves chowder and she ranked it up there with the best. The honey salmon with rice/beans and veggies were very nice. I had the seafood rice and added some of my wife's black beans (my only recommendation would be for them to add beans with this dish. It made it! The waitress Katlyn was very nice as well and kept the coffees and water full. Always checking if we needed anything as well. We will be back!

Had the jerk chicken with mango salsa and it was excellent. Wife had fish tacos. They had a great taste with a lot of fish.

We have been to Sloppy Joe's in Key West and loved it. Hoping for the same was like the Hope and Change Obama promised. The meal was terrible at best. I had fish taco's and they were terrible fried overdone and virtually tasteless. The beans and rice were cold and bland. My wife had the blackened fish taco and it was too spicy and the lettuce was wilted. Just seemed very unfresh. ditto for the other woman in our group. Finally I ordered a rum and coke and with bacardi rum and the drink came back so clear it couldn't have had a splash of coke in it. I thought it was going to be strong with rum only----not. The server was clueless when asked about it and didn't even offer to fix the obvious error.

This was the best service on the beach! We had a party of 50. Taylor the manager checked on us constantly. Danica was awesome and so was Joe in the bar! Food was good. As far as I know nothing got sent back. We did have one issue where one of the kids did not his his food. Once he spoke up the manager and server were there to take care of it. I would highly recommend this place.

Crappy service . Tip recommendations on receipt 18 20 and 22 percent. Really ? 5 % and that was generous.

We loved the bar overlooking the water , service was OK but food and drinks was worth it my hubby loved so much already planning a trip back soon!:)

Food was good.. had the key west fried shrimp and fries get the key line pie- it is authentic and totally worth it! We had great service and the food was cooked to order. My husband had the original sloppy Joe sandwich It was good

We went here for dinner I had the grouper which was supposedly blackened and grilled but when it was served to me it looked and tasted like it was breaded and fried. My husband had the lobster and macaroni which didn't have that much lobster. My mom had the grilled shrimp and ravioli which was ok. The price was pretty high for what you get especially when America is known for its generous proportions we had just enough to eat for a lot of $$$. The service is friendly and met expectations for this sort of dining.

I usually try to avoid touristy places. My co-workers do not have the same policy and I came here to meet them for drinks and dinner after work one night. My navigation system was able to find it, although it should be noted that it's part of the larger Ocean Walk Shoppes complex, so you have to park across the street in the big deck. It's actually pretty convenient and a pedestrian bridge connects you almost right to the same floor of the restaurant. Everything here is kinda 50/50. * You can sit outside and see the ocean, but most of the view is obstructed by a giant event stage. * They have A/C inside, but it's still pretty muggy because they leave all of their doors open. * Some of the seats are in areas that I would have thought were part of the mall and not for dining, but that didn't stop them from putting up tables (or from people staying at the connected hotel/resort/condos from constantly walking by without shoes or many clothes on after leaving the beach). They have great happy hour specials for beer. Other drinks are discounted... just not as cheap as the beer. I came after happy hour, so I decided to get one of their signature drinks. I didn't know what I wanted and unfortunately the server had never tried any of them and couldn't make a recommendation. I can't remember what I picked. All I know is it was sweet and I got to keep the plastic cup as a souvenir. Oh, and just a heads up - The conch fritters are mostly fritter. The few pieces of conch weren't fresh and you couldn't even taste them. Very disappointing for a beachside restaurant that's supposed to replicate Key West in Daytona Beach.

Good food and friendly service. I ordered the 1 pound Blt and it was gooood. My wife ordered fish tacos and she liked them. My buddy had the lobster grilled cheese and he thought it was awesome. They even gave my kids a free treasure, which was candy, but the kids thought it was great,

  • Cassie B.

Good location and service, but the food and drinks were overpriced. Definitely just bar-style food with $12/plate price tag. Very, very touristy. I had the Cuban-style chicken wrap which was actually surprisingly good, but not what I was expecting. Tasted like a Chipotle burrito, which I didn't mind at all. The sweet potato tots were alright as well. Like I said - bar food for sure.

My friend and I stopped in for a quick bite before heading back home from vacation. This was the best food I had during my stay in Florida. The Hurricane Relief specialty drink was so fruity & delicious, as well as the firecracker shrimp - I tried really hard to eat as much of the appetizer before my friend got to it. To top it all off we had a friendly waiter, Jeff. It was like talking to an old friend. Would definitely recommend this atmosphere and food!

Had dinner there with five friends. Service was great and the staff was very friendly. All the appetizers and food was very good. I had the Sloppy Joe sandwhich and it was awesome. Exactly how a sloppy joe should look and taste. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Went for second night in a row after great service and food the night before. They lost track of us at the front desk while we were waiting and then were extremely rude about it. Then they told us it would be 25 more minutes after they told us 10 more minutes and we had waited 20. The drinks were mixed poorly but the food was good again with good table service. Would recommend staying away from this place on the busy summer Saturdays and you will be alright.

Ate at Sloppy Joe's with the kids at Daytona Beach. It was really good. I ordered the conch fritters for the table, the kids have never tried them before and they liked them. Joshua got the FRESH CATCH OF THE DAY (cute dish), Noelle got the Shrimp Alfredo Pasta, Brandy chose the Chicken Parmesan, and I opted to get the Cayo Chicken Wrap with Cuban Yellow Rice and Black Beans...OMG..delicious...I haven't had food this good since the trip to San Juan last March. It was great food! Priced moderately for the large portions and we had our usual drink order, unsweetened tea with lemon/lime (me), cola for Joshua, and lemonade for the girls..it was very good!!! Highly recommend to all.....

I got the firecracker shrimp appetizer and loved it and my entree was just as good. The waitress we had couldn't have been nicer. It was an overall great experience.

Good views of the water. Awesome live music while we were there on a Friday night. Drinks are WEAK... I had to ask for a floater for my cocktail since I couldnt taste any booze at all. My server wasnt even suprised. The nachos are kinda weird with the sloppy joe mix on them... but they served their purpose. Service was pretty good.

Corporate franchise rip off of the original in Key West. It shares little in common. The staff was friendly. They go a little overboard with the sloppy joe mixture. Sloppy joe on nachos, noodles, on whatever you want. Kinda gross. Hemingway never ate a sloppy joe sandwich mixture on a plate of nachos. Really wish we never stopped by. Definitely in the tourist trap area too.

Ordered the jerk chicken entree and a coconut shrimp appetizer and my husband had the fish tacos. The coconut shrimp were good but were very expensive at $13 for a plate of 5 shrimp The jerk chicken had heat but the chicken was not very tender. The fish tacos were ok. The meal overall was kinda pricey here.

Well, I have been to the original in Key West, and this is NOT like that one. I am not sure I understand what it is trying to be, but it is nothing like the real Sloppy Joe's. Service was great, but the food was very mediocre. Atmosphere is blase, again, nothing like the original. Would I go back? No, not again. There was nothing there that will entice me back.

To start off, the service is fantastic. The entire staff was really friendly. We asked to bring our dog into the restaurants and they allowed us to, we sat on the porch. There was such a great view of the ocean. We ordered the fishbowl margarita, 62 oz of delicious margarita for about $20 with a take home souvenir! It was fun to drink from as well as tasty. We had the onion ring appetizers, which can't really be messed up. The honey mustard dip was made from a really strong Dijon mustard so I can see some people really liking it and others not so much. Jo ordered the "Big Sloppy" he said it wasn't the best sloppy joe he has ever had and has a really strong tomato taste to it. The sandwich came with fries that were very good. I ordered the lobster bisque, it was delicious! It was very thick and creamy with a fantastic seafood taste. It was even served in a bread bowl! Yummy. Overall, we will be returning to Sloppy Joes when we are in Daytona again.

Stopped here tonight for a quick bite before a movie. I had a buffalo chicken wrap and my girl had a spicy shrimp wrap. Two of the best sandwiches we've ever had. Highly recommend these two sandwiches. And sat by the window with a great ocean view.

Place was ok. Ordered fish bowl drink. Twenty dollars for 64 oz. basically all ice. Firecracker shrimp was good. On small side for appetizer . I had the lobster Mac and cheese. Fairly large portion. Sloppy joe, the fish tacos and chicken wrap. All in all was good. Service was not too good considering that the place was empty. I would be scared of it were busy. Everybody seemed scared or got real nervous when people walked in like oh what do we do? Will try again

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night while visiting Daytona. We approached the hostess but because they were ALL kids, we were not greeted or even looked at. There were 4 people standing there! They were too busy looking extremely confused at the waiting list and floor plan. I ended up walking into the bar and asked the first waitress I saw if they had self seating which they do in the bar area. The food was yummy. Good conch fritters with a tasty sauce!! Husband had the fish tacos which I tried and they were good with a little bit of a kick. I had the fish sandwich which was your basic grilled mahi on a bun, it was good too. My sister started with the lobster bisque and practically licked the bowl clean. Frozen margarita was way too sweet but the one on the rocks was ok. I could not taste any vodka in my dirty martini. We would go back.

Visited on 12/27: The best thing was the view from our table at bar and the bartender that actually cared we were there and took care of us when the one waitress kept walking past us. Sloppy Joe nachos were interesting but nothing I will try again. Hubby liked the lobster Mac & cheese.

I would never come here again or recommend this place to anyone. Horrible slow service. My food was cold. We waited 20 min+ for our checks (that were wrong) then another 15 for her to run the cards. I wish I would have went to Bubba Gump downstairs :(

Ok here's the deal with Daytona, people: You're SUPPOSED to stick to the mainstream restaurants. They're safe, clean, well lit, and are likely to pass health inspections. So yes, Sloppy Hoes is a chain, but it's a guaranteed good spot to eat in a beach town that has seen better days (and hopefully has better days still to come). I've been here many a time and have always gotten top notch food. The nachos are huge, the fish tacos are delish, the buffalo chicken wrap is reliable, and the service is good. They added some bang bang/firecracker style shrimp tacos and they are just pure WIN (they're topped with cole slaw, holla!) They loose stars for the drinks. They're over priced and totally tourist geared. The margaritas are in plastic cups, which always breaks my heart because salt can't stick to a plastic cup, man. And they never really pack much of a punch. But perhaps if you catch a happy hour it's worth it? Every time I go to Daytona I end up here,... and considering it's Daytona, I can honestly say that it could be a LOT worse.

Typical chain-y, tourist-y place. The salads were huge. Prices were decent. I'd recommend the taco salad. Nothing to write home about. Unless you're starving and you HAVE to eat at Ocean Walk, I recommend skipping this place.

I came here because the first two places I went to had to long of waits. Sloppy joes had a pretty long wait too but it was Memorial Day Weekend so I can't complain about the wait. Once we where seated our waiter came by and asked for drinks and our food. We got an apitizer of calamari and it was a bit soggy. But the main course meals we got where great I got the blackened grouper and it was great my fiancé got the Cuban sandwich and she said it was good and my cousin got the chicken paramisan and she said it was good. Our waiter was good he kept up with the drinks and was always around when we needed something. Overall great place.

Great view of the beach from this place and a cool place to grab a drink if you're waiting for a movie. Decent food, decent drinks, what else can you ask for out of Daytona Beach?

Service wasnt the best. Paid 15 dollars for 2 pieces of tilapa and it took over 20 minutes to get my food. Ended up being under cooked i geuss because my boyfriend and i got very sick all night. I couldnt eat for 3 days afterwards. Sat in the bar area and the server didnt inform us about happy hour. I work in the industry and have never written a review until now. Never again.

The concept of this restaurant is strange to me... With a name like "Sloppy Joe's" and one of their specialties being just that...sloppy joes, I would expect something totally different. Instead, this place aims for a beach/bar feel with a few attempts at high-end seafood dishes with a Caribbean theme. Like I said, confusing... Environment: We went here on a Friday night and sat outside by the bar, where there was live music. It wasn't overwhelmingly loud, which was nice. Food: The food was decent, but not that memorable. We had the conch fritters, which I liked better than he did - he thought they were too greasy. He had the honey glazed salmon, which had a nice flavor but he wished it would have had more of the glaze. The Cuban rice was actually really delicious...it kind of had a coconut curry flavor to it, though, so I'm not sure if I would call it "Cuban." The broiled/steamed vegetables were tasty but we wished there were more of them... sweet potato fries were good, and the crab cakes were alright. I don't think they were as good as the waiter said they were. Although mostly crab meat, they were kind of bland overall, and a little soft... They come drizzled with some kind of remoulade sauce, which tends to overpower everything, so that was a little disappointing. I hate it when the only discernible "flavor" comes from high-fat sauces or frying, instead of herbs and spices... or using cooking methods to enhance flavor like slow-roasting a meat... bleh. Service: Attentive, prompt. Overall: Meh, not bad, not spectacular. If you wanted an alternative to Bubba Gump's because the wait was too long, well then... this isn't a terrible option.

We ate lunch here during a girls weekend to Daytona this past summer. The bloody marys were nice and spicy, which was a plus and everything seemed reasonably priced for the area (I had a club type sandwich, fries and two bloody marys for about $20). It was nice to sit outside, but as other reviewers have mentioned the actual outdoor seating in front of the restaurant is limited and we had to sit in the "pedestrian area" which was a little awkward. Overall, it was a pretty decent meal for the price and atmosphere. They did have a great drink special that evening (which was Saturday) with domestic beer for $2, however, the band that was playing during those hours was so loud my friends and I could not hear a single word each other said; even in the pedestrian space outside the restaurant/bar area.

  • Erin Z.

If you sit at the bar you get a great view of the beach and Daytona Boardwalk Bandshell. Nice selection of drinks and the conch fritters were super tasty. Service was friendly but poor, took us over 40min to get our lunch, and the food reminded me of being at Applebee's or the like. If I went again it would be only to get drunk, eat conch fritters and listen to live music after a long day of perusing and lounging on the beach. For that, it's perfect!

  • Leslie L.

Great blue cheese chips (appetizer) and burgers. Weak drinks, even with an extra shot--not worth the calories. Good location. Go to the bar area to eat--first come, first serve so no wait and same menu. Helpful waitress.

  • Whitaker L.

Best shrimp tacos on the beach! The service is prompt. The drinks are cheap and the bar tenders are fun. You can't get a better ocean-front atmosphere. It's a great place for a meal or even just a few cold drinks. Fun for out of town visitors and for locals.

Sloppy Joe's... Slop.. Sloppy Joe's. Hoagies and grinders.. Hoagies and grinders! Sorry just had that Adam Sandler song stuck in my head. Sloppy Joe's is located in the famous Ocean Walk shopping plaza. We sat outside on the covered patio area overlooking the Daytona Beach Bandshell. Thank goodness we sat on the edge of the patio, where we could catch a nice ocean breeze and a great view of people line dancing near the band shell. Now I didn't explore the restaurant as much but I believe they may have an indoor section as well. I always forget how difficult it is to find restaurants in Daytona with good food. And Sloppy Joe's fell in the same trend. I had a cup of clam chowder that wasn't bad at all. With me being from Massachusetts, I have earned the right to be a Chowdah snob. But in all honesty it wasn't bad. It still could've been a little thicker but it wasn't runny. Man that chaps my butt whenever places serve it and it looks like skim milk. Anyways I digress. Since my buddy and I weren't super hungry, we decided to split their sampler appetizer. Boy was this a bad idea. The boat shaped container it came it was the only thing cool about it. In the sampler was a ton of calamari (which wasn't that great), two large cheesesticks (that didn't resemble cheesesticks), and 5 chicken wings. Not quite sure which one out of the trio of nastiness I liked the best. In an effort to wash the taste from my mouth, I drank a couple of Mai-Tai's. Yes I know it is girly but hey I am at the beach. When in Daytona Baby! Their mixed tropical drink menu looked pretty good. But I would be cautious about ordering regular liquor drinks. My buddy ordered a vodka water with a splash of cranberry and his drink came out in what was pretty much a dixie cup. The draft beers came in that size cup as well. However the draft's were only $2.50 ($1 after 10). The service was just fine. Our waitress was attentive and somewhat friendly. I could've used a smile or two here and there. Since we had a large party, we reserved a couple of tables ahead of time. When we arrived there, our tables were marked off and ready for us. Made me feel special at least! In my opinion, the service was good but not enough to give it a third star! WeatherMan Predicts: 70-80% chance of hitting this spot up again but for drinks only! But good company always helps you get by a bad experience!

I recently visited Daytona and ate here for dinner. I enjoyed sitting outside and having a nice view of the ocean but other than that I didn't enjoy much else. The service took a while and our server barely came by our table to check how everything was. I ordered the fish tacos which you could barely taste the fish because it was so little and was covered with so much lettuce and tomato. It came with a side of beans and rice and didn't like how the beans were served on top of the rice which was undercooked. I don't think I'll be coming back here next time I come to Daytona.

Hemingway could be rolling over in his grave. I'm not sure he would appreciate his likeness being used in a place that didDaytona Beach is the anti-New Orleans. Three lunch/dinners and three disappointments to a certain extent. Sloppy Joes is located in the Ocean Walk shopping area. This is Daytona's "Orlando" area. We stopped by, taking a break from the beach, at about 2:30 or 3:00 on a Saturday with a sign that greeted us saying there were Happy Hour specials. After being seated, we received the upsa king. He immediately directed us to the drink menu where guess what, all the best drinks on the menu were also the most expensive. I asked about the happy hour specials and there were some pretty good prices. We ordered two margaritas. Our server returned a minute later to inform us that he forgot that there were no Happy Hour specials on Saturday. This was a huge disappointment after seeing the sign and being quoted the prices. Needless to say, I had trouble identifying if there was any actual alcohol in my drink. I had now went 0 for 2 on mixed drinks for the day. I would be very hesitant to buy any mixed drink at this place. You might want to stick to beer. As to the food, I ordered the sloppy joe. Frankly, I like Manwich a little better. It was so thin it wouldn't stay on the bun. I must say that the sweet potato tatter tots were delicious. My wife said the pulled pork sandwich was OK

  • Aimee S.

I had the sloppy joe - AWFUL. I would rather eat the stuff from a can. My boyfriend had the blackened spicy chicken Alfredo, which wasn't blackened or spicy at all. To be completely honestly, we were only there for the variety of frozen drinks, which yes, were delicious but definitely missing the alcohol. We each had three cocktails, and f I hadn't paid $7.50 for each one I would have sworn they were virgin. Upside, they did have Jell-O shots. But..even those..tasted like straight up jello. Needless to say, sloppy joes..more like sloppy NOs! So about the rating. I give a 5 for the taste of the drinks, 4 for having Jell-O shots, a 1 for the food and a 1 for the lack of spirit (in the drinks and the staff!) so I give it..2. Barely.

I had such a wonderful evening at this establishment! It's located right off of the beach and practically over the Daytona Beach Bandshell. We went on a Friday evening for a free concert. We were seated outside and had a wonderful view! I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap which was fantastic! The prices were fair for being in such a touristy area. The service was good! Nothing beats a nice ocean breeze and some classic good eats! I definitely recommend!

    (4)
  • Kai S.

Actually I was really surprised! We sat in the bar area overlooking the water. The view was priceless! Drinks are a little watered down. If you go during the summer you can catch the freeuaic concerts which makes the experience even better!

Joy is absolutely the best waitress I've had in a long time. She was on it and even helped me open my crabs when she saw I was having trouble. The food is great and view of the ocean is amazing.

    (5)
  • Paul P.

Just okay. Nothing like the one in Key West. The food is nothing special and the service is so so. The sloppy joes were barley okay. The best part is the ocean views.

    (3)
  • Amber H.

I struggled between a 3 or a 4 rating. The shrimp salad I got was very refreshing and excellent, but the service was not that great. They are very disorganized here, and it took us a long time to get drinks even though like three people greeted us. They seemed to be confused on who our server would be. The scenery and food were good, and I will probably be back, but it won't be my first choice.

I wasn't expecting too much here, thank goodness. It is the tourist part of Daytona after all. We walked across the street after a graduation at the Ocean Center, in order to wait out the crazy traffic that comes with 4 graduations, in one day, at the same venue, with one parking garage. (But that has nothing to do with Sloppy Joes.) Great view of the ocean and open air seating... but you know you are in Daytona. Old biker dudes, frat boys and tourists... sigh. Had a few brews, that seemed to take forever to get. It was a Friday night, but the place was not that crowded. Decided to sample some of the Sloppy Nachos... sloppy joe filling on tortilla chips. It was pretty decent, the sweet flavor of the sloppy sauce made for a different nacho experience, when I prefer more of a kick, but they were an interesting try for sure. There was some ruckus about the check that kinda grind my gears... I went to let our server know I would be taking care of the table... (well, and that is how if we wanted another beer or to order anything... we had to walk to the server stand to track the guy down.) He took my card and after the last beer was drank, we let him know we wanted the bill. Not sure why, but he decides to hand the bill, with my card, to Adam, even after I had given him the card. Maybe I read too much into that, but seemed a little sexist. I think Adam was more ticked off than I was. Haha! No worries thou. I won't be back unless I was physically dragged there.

Nice fun place! Waitress and bartender were super helpful, believe his name was Brian and waitress was working like crazy Saturday July 18 afternoon. Thanks for a nice experience. It was pouring that day, came into town, and everyone just hurdled into the restaurant, our waitress was on top of things during a rush and we weren't neglected. I had the fish tacos and they were great, my son had steak(advised him this is not the place for steak) he enjoyed it and I had a bite and it was tasty!

Great setting and atmosphere. Service was second to none. Restaurant seems to be very clean and well kept. Food was delicious. Best we've had in Daytona Beach. Very well presented also. Highly recommend

Great fish taco... Great breeze on the deck.... Beer was cold... Cannot really complain... Only ding was they needed a broom. Cigarettes and napkins on the ground outside on 2nd floor. Other than that good stuff.

Writing this review as I am still here. Hubby and I started with the firecracker shrimp (compare to Bonefish Grill but much much better) then for dinner he got a buffalo chicken wrap which he thought was great. I got the fish tacos that were very generous with the amount of fish that came with and they were amazing. Sitting at the bar the bartender Brian is great. Keep the those cold refreshing beers coming. These out of towners found a place that we will come back to since we have been traveling to FL a lot for long weekend golf trips.

Sloppy joes definitely earned the name sloppy joes the best sloppy joe ever have in my entire life next to my moms. the drinks are superb in their chicken quesadillas outstanding. Jeff later totally rock and made great suggestions that acompany the meal.

Ick. Bad. Only eat here if there is an hour wait at all the other restaurants in this little mall or any other place to walk. Sloppy Joe on a bun -- too peppery, not enough cheese, not pretty. Chicken taco salad had an overfried shell, and was too drippy with dressing -- not to mention the waiter forgot to put the order in and everyone wanted to be polite to eat. Kids meal was a sad looking chicken breast with carrot sticks that looked like they were picked up from the local Publix. Fried shrimp had been fried to within an inch of their lives and were cold when served -!?? Overall, go somewhere else.

8 of us went to dinner last night and for the first time in many years, my entire family plus 2 significant others all agreed the food and service was outstanding. The general manager made sure my son who has a broken jaw was taken care of and minced up his food so he could enjoy it as well. It is rare anymore when restaurant staff actually show an interest in the customers and Shawn and his staff certainly know how to treat their customers!

We stopped here while on a walk from our hotel. They got us in right away and the wait staff was really nice. The portions are huge. I got the fish sandwich and it came with 2 large pieces of fish. Fries are good too. My husband had thee sloppy joe and said it was great top.

We shared a Sloppy Joe and Sweet Potato Tots. Food was excellent, as was the service. The Sloppy Joe reminded my husband of the ones his Mom used to make for the family when he was growing up :). Sweet Potato Tots were hot, crispy and very delicious. Server was very friendly and made us feel welcome in Daytona Beach.

We came here after not being able to get a table or seats at Mai Tai downstairs. We tried to at least look around for a table outside or at the Sunset Bar (which had windows overlooking the ocean), to no luck. We were finally seated inside (I was definitely not thrilled). The table was really cramped between two other tables. The atmosphere inside is lacking. Our waitress was really nice though and not pushy at all. For drinks, I can't even tell you what it was called, but super fruity and only $5. The waitress said there were about 5 different types of rum in it; though we didn't feel that drink at all. We got the Sloppy Nachos as an appetizer, they were decent, though the Sloppy Joe meat mixture could've been warmed up more (parts were room temp/cold). Then Hubster and I shared the Havana sandwich (said to be eaten by Ernest Hemingway regularly). It was pretty good. The fries were good too. Our friends got the Sloppy Joe with cheese, and said "meh, it was alright". The coleslaw was okay, if you like the kind from KFC (tasted very similar). Didn't check out the bathrooms, so I can't say what their condition was. Decent dinner, but uneventful and not rememberable.

This place has good food, I took my man here after a nice day on the beach and we had some delicious sloppy joes, are server was very friendly and acted like she knew a lot about the menu. We currently just moved to Daytona beach and we are trying out all the new restraunts, if you like sloppy joes in general these ones are amazing!

We had fried shrimp, chicken sandwich, chicken tenders and buffalo chicken wrap. There was no wait so we decided to eat here. It is right off the beach. Service was a little slow and the sandwich and shrimp were overlooked.

Great location. Service ja slow, and the food is just okay. The lobster grilled cheese is good. Fish tacos are just okay. The kids chicken tenders were horrible.

This is by far better than the Mai Tai Bar. This bartender knows how to make a Mai Tai. We was a party of three and all the drinks that we ordered was amazing from Lee the bartender. He also took our dinner order and our food came out great. The food was so good that we went back the next day. We will be back.

Not nearly as much fun as the one in Key West. With that said the staff was friendly and attentive and the food was reasonably priced. I found things were all a little over salted for my taste, and I usually add salt!

Me and my boyfriend went for lunch one day. It was nice to sit outside and see the ocean. We ordered conch fritters which were pretty good. and we ordered the band shell salad to split. it was enormous, definitely filling for both of us. and the balsamic dressing was amazing. one of the best dressings i've ever had. my boyfriend just kept raving about the salad dressing. Our server was extremely nice and chatty. Gave us good pointers on other things to do while in Daytona.

My family and I are at Sloppy Joe's yesterday and we were so disappointed. We looked up the reviews and photos and we instantly decided to eat there instead of Bubba Gump's. Husband ordered the Lobster Grilled Cheese with Sweet Potato tots. I ordered the SurfNTurf Burger with regular fries. Nephew ordered Sloppy Joes with cheese. Dad ordered an off the menu item. He asked for fish tacos but they told him they could make shrimp tacos for him using the Flaming Shrimp from the appetizer menu. The verdict? Lobster grilled cheese has SOOOO much potential to be delicious, but it was overcooked and dry. Our biggest issue with it was the fact that they grilled the sandwich on a bed of shredded cheese on both sides so the bread was crusty and hard because the cheese was grilled onto the breads and were dried up. It was not worth the $16.00 price tag. The sweet potato Tater tots were definitely delicious. Surf and Turf was a great disappointment to me. I asked for a medium well burger and it came extremely well cooked and crispy to the touch. The seasoning itself was nowhere to be found. I know it wasn't quality burger meat. The lobster on it was dry and grainy. There was one shrimp on it. Not worth the $18.00 price tag. My nephew decided that his sloppy joe wasn't anything special. He had expectations as it says on the menu that you can't go to Daytona beach and not try it. He could only eat a quarter of the sandwich and that's how I knew it was bad because that boy CAN EAT. Dad came out as the winner for best meal. The server, Jeff, was awesome for making this happen. So Dad ordered the flaming shrimp from the appetizer menu, but he asked for them to be made into "shrimp tacos". He shared a bite with all of us and we all agreed that it was delicious. So try ordering that if you like shrimp! We went in after the lunch rush so we had an empty restaurant. Our server was Jeff and while he took great care of us, he was hardly around but I think it's because he was playing catch up after the lunch rush. I wouldn't go back. :-(

As someone who was born and raised in the Keys, this Sloppy Joes doesn't exactly match it, but it's still delicious! My soup was awesome and my husbands Cuban sandwich was great! My Mom and best friend enjoyed their drinks and dinner as well. Our waiter was very nice and helpful with things to do in the area! We would return when we visit Daytona again!

Friendly service, beautiful view, but the food wasn't that amazing. I had the fish tacos and wish I had tried something else. It wasn't the best, but those with me really enjoyed their meals. They had the fish sandwich and a burger with fries. I tried the sweet potato tots and I tried the conch fritters. I would pass on both if I came back again. Conch tastes sort of like calamari in texture and it was just one piece covered in the breading. Nothing too spectacular. I would like to come back and try their drinks. They looked delicious.

Pros: Attentive and friendly staff Good drinks and drink specials Great views and location Cons: Food was tasteless and expensive for what you get. If it weren't for the staff and drinks I would've given it a 1 star. Unless you're going here solely for drinks I would pass and go somewhere else in Daytona!

I am always a fan of Sloppy Joe's. The Key West Sloppy Joe's is hard to beat, but this one comes pretty close. My girlfriend and I both had the sloppy joe with cheese. It was delicious and quite sloppy (I wouldn't have it any other way)! The fries and sweet potato tots were both good. They also have pretty tasty adult beverages. If it is a nice day, I would suggest sitting outside. It's a great place for watching the live band that plays outside at the bandshell on Friday nights. I would check out the gift shop on your way out... In a big fan of collecting Sloppy Joe shirts from there. It is very family friendly and also great for adults for a fun night out. I would definitely recommend this place!

Soppy joes was just sloppy!! I don't understand how there so many people waiting to get into that restaurant...since the line to get in was so long I decide to get takeout...I waited an hour for takeout and the women that handed my food told me...the toco salad was a little messy but you will like it... I was anticipating to get home, to see what my food looked like...instead of settle down at the hotel room... I open all the take out food and she was right a pile of mess...the food was bland the twelve inch sloppy joe was disgusting...the salmon that I had was rock hard I have never had a Salmon that was so hard before...I don't recommend this place at all.

They're located right by the Daytona Boardwalk, on the top floor of the Ocean Walk Shoppes. We were sweating, hungry, and anxious after a long drive. Beachside lunch sounded great. It was a weekday and there were no crowds whatsoever. We got seated right away. We chose to sit outside overlooking the beach. It was beautiful, skies were clear and no breeze. I ordered their sloppy joe with a side of sweet potato tater tots. The sloppy joe was your average sloppy joe, Manwich style. It was something my mom made growing up. The tater tots stood out, they were a good mix of slightly sweet and salty. The texture was soft and they were addicting. My parents ordered their Cubano and the bread was just too thick and tough to chew, unlike a good sandwich you can get at the Cuban hole in the wall. All in all, it's pretty much generic American chain type food with a nice view. Slightly overpriced too.

We decided to try Sloppy Joes for our Mother's Day lunch. Our waiter was rude, arrogant, and smug. We had a party of 10. The restaurant was slow, maybe 4-5 other parties and appeared to be fully staffed. This waiter would slam drinks on the table. If we said thank you his reply was "yea ok." My kids asked for refills he never brought them. If anyone had an alcoholic drink they had to go to the bar to get it since he forgot them. We had a 2 year old present and when asked what as on the kids menu he said "I don't know the menu is over there, that white paper." Before my dad had a chance to Finish signing the check he was snatching it away. He forgot to put my moms order in said "we were backed up" clearly a lie. Food was ok. I hope he had a bad day. I've never witnessed a server be so rude to a group of people. We tried going out and enjoying our Mother's Day and he ruined our lunch. Total bill was over $200, you'd think he'd be a little nicer. Despite him being a jerk we did tip. We will NOT be returning.

Quite possibly the worst food I've ever had. Stopped in this past Friday night, about 9 o' clock, got some beers and, what else but a sloppy joe and some fries. Waiter was on top of his shit and very good, but the food was total ass. You'd think with a name like Sloppy Joe's that you'd perfect your craft, maybe refine your namesake to where it was impossible to mess up? Well I think I've had beef jerky that was less salty than this thing. Literally could not finish because it felt like I was shoving wads of tissue into my arteries. Fries had been sitting under a heat lams for at least 20 minutes and were rock solid. Will not be back. Will not even look at them when I walk past.

Wow what a surprise I had no idea this restaurant was so good loved the fish sandwich and the BoardWalk Salad was wonderful. great view and a comfortable restaurant with plenty of varied seating; water view, porch, and bar area seating. I enjoyed a 64 ounce Rum Punch in a souvenir fish bowl with a cool unk unk shark while wifey enjoyed a Long Island Iced tea. Then we enjoyed one of the aforementioned concerts.

The location, service and drinks you can't beat! We had the sloppy nachos and sloppy Joe with sweet potato tots. The nachos were a little on the cold side but very good taste even though the chips aren't fresh/home made. The sloppy joe was pretty good, the tator tots were a little undercooked but not bad taste. Overall the service was very prompt and the server was very nice. Location was great in the shade with view of the ocean. The rum runner was delicious, $5 special and they also had Amber woodchuck cider. I would definitely go back as the food was decent bar food, service good, drinks good and location awesome :)
